IWG, the world’s leading provider of flexible workspaces has announced two new partnerships which will revolutionise workplace benefits for hybrid workers.
IWG, which includes brands such as Spaces and Regus, has partnered with international health insurance and healthcare group, BUPA, and flexible gym provider Hussle to provide IWG customers access to world-class private healthcare from BUPA and gym access to provide first class workplace benefits.
These partnerships build on the wellbeing benefits hybrid working naturally offers with workers able to take advantage of the time saved by working closer to home to find time to run, workout, or socialise with family and friends.
The announcement comes as new research from IWG found that amidst the cost-of-living crisis, Brits are increasingly relying on their workplace benefits to save money and stay healthy with 70% of office workers saying a good workplace benefits package has become more important to them in the last two years and nearly 1 in 5 (18%) saying they have increased the benefits they use.
To provide the benefit, IWG is investing in the partnership with Hussle and has agreed the equivalent of a wholesale price on gym Day Passes at scale. This means that hybrid workers using IWG flexible offices across the UK will now be able to visit thousands of gyms via Hussle at no cost to themselves. Fitness operators that work with Hussle will benefit from the additional revenue this partnership generates as a new sales distribution channel. Operators will be paid as normal with the deal based on a per-visit model all round.
IWG customers will also be able to book a free annual health assessment through BUPA. Designed to give people a better understanding of their health and wellbeing, new and renewing customers will also receive a personalised health report following their assessment and free access to BUPA’s healthcare and wellbeing app.
IWG Founder and CEO Mark Dixon commented: “For several decades, we have been at the forefront of hybrid working helping people to live and work flexibly around their own schedules in the heart of their local communities. I’m pleased our new partnerships with Hussle and Bupa will provide our customers in the UK a helping hand to stay fit and healthy”.
“Traditionally, private health care and gym membership have been reserved as perks of the privileged few working for large companies. Now customers across all our brands including Regus and Spaces will not only have access to these benefits, but their existing ones too including member events, networking opportunities and access to the world’s largest co-working network”, said Dixon.
IWG has ambitious plans for growth, adding 1,000 locations across the network over the next year these partnerships are part of IWG’s wider strategy to provide customers a place to work in the heart of local communities.
Jamie Ward, CEO of Hussle said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with IWG to give people more flexibility in how they balance working and workout out. We are proud to provide access to the largest network of gyms across the country and, as the biggest network of workspaces across the UK and around the world, IWG is a natural partner for us to help people across the country foster healthier, happier lives.”
Alaana Woods, Commercial Director at Bupa Health Clinics said; “We are delighted to be working with IWG to provide health assessments so customers can have peace of mind in their health and wellbeing. Healthcare has never been more important, and our health assessments are designed to give people an overall picture of their health and wellbeing, picking up any issues there may be and advising people how to boost their health.”
